Recap on the year

- A maintenance schedule was established, including clear-up and get-together dates (Sally)
- We refreshed the plot plans and organization (Paige)
- We secured a lottery grant to refurbish the space near the canal, selected a contractor, and received assistance from the CIC to complete the work before winter (Paige & Benjamin, Sayra, Peter, and everyone involved!)
- Water bill management was improved by installing locks on new water taps (Benjamin & Myrtille)
Finances
- Our treasurer is currently unwell, but we expect a detailed report once they recover. We can highlight a £700 surplus.
- The £200-£300 from the current fund, along with this year’s member fees, should cover the identified work.
- There will be no increase in fees.
Proposed work for 2025
- Replace hoses.
- Mark out new boundaries.
- Compost heaps will be maintained in the canal side allotment area, and plastic bins other than the compost heap will be removed.
- Members can email or WhatsApp us to request tasks to be considered.
Proposed amendments to the rules
- Members must ensure their plot is used and well-maintained, including woodwork treatment, or it will be reallocated to another household
- Attendance at least two communal cleaning sessions is required
- Keep leaves off the woodwork.
- Allotments should be used for gardening, not for planting shrubs
